Initial Visit:

For your initial visit to our office please allow 1 to 3 hours depending on the needs for specialized tests.

During your first and subsequent visits, in order to better evaluate eye conditions, it is necessary to see the details of all compartments of the eye including the back of the eye where retina, macula, optic nerve, retinal vessels, vitreous, and the lens reside.

This requires dilation of both eyes using eye drops.  Dilation of both eyes would make driving unsafe.  We recommend you make arrangements to be driven to and from our office.

Our office staff, on your arrival, will assist you with your questions such as your visit, insurance, and future visits.  Filling of several forms such as medical history, insurance information, and list of medications will be necessary.  If you have difficulty with reading and writing you may fill the required forms before coming to our office.  We can mail the forms to the address of your choice.

Wait time:

Due to blinding nature of retinal conditions needing urgent treatment, we try to help individuals by scheduling them urgently.  This may result in delays that are beyond our control.  We make every effort to minimize delays and expedite your visit.  We ask for your patience and understanding.

Emergencies:

We accept emergencies 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
